Hello, and yes I’m blogging

Well, never say never!!  I actually didn’t say I would never blog but I thought it!!  Do you want to know why?  I truly don’t think I have anything to say that anyone would find that interesting and besides, if you are that bored and have time to read my blog, well I’m sorry…I don’t know if I can deliver any great info to keep you enlightened.

However, my sweet friend Amy (Sullins) keeps telling me that I have a lot of good things to share and that I would be great at blogging.  My husband has even echoed her sentiments.  And yet neither of these are the reasons I’ve decided to start this blogging thing.  I actually have come to believe that for me it will be a great outlet and I will be able to journal my thoughts easier online than in a book.  And too, since we women supposedly speak so many thousands of words more than men do a day, and I certainly speak my share, I should at least be able to put some of those words in print.  So, even though I still don’t think anything I will write will change the world, I have been convinced that it will be good for me and fun!!  Amy has done very good educating me on all of this “techy” stuff!!  Thanks my friend….

As I write this December is coming to a close and 2007 is simply a blur….We’re at my parents home celebrating the holidays and I’ve been thinking back over the last few months.  God has been so good to us this year and He has even stretched me more spiritually than I would have expected.  I am thankful for my sweet family, my precious friends and time with both.  People are so great and incredibly funny at times.  I love talking with people and learning how they think and how they do life.  You’d just have to know my family to know that my family tree is full of nuts!!  Of course I love that and each of them.  Life is never boring from our house to my extended family.

My prayer is that we all recognize the value of the time we have together.  Life goes so fast.  I’ll write more later….my nephew is calling for me to come play a game with him.  I love him dearly…he’s 8 and smarter than me….Until later… (Now that wasn’t so hard) Oh, and  just so you know, for those of you who don’t already, my nickname is Gigi as my my neices and nephews have affectionately dubbed me.  Thus the title of my blog!!
